My father was an engineer by trade, no longer around. I wandered if anyone on here might be able to help with what I do with an old, very good working order pillar drill and heavy vice. seems a shame to scrap them. Are they worth anything. I am in Maidstone area of Kent.

I also have photos

Hi Andy, photos would help, but they both would probably sell, how much for will depend on their condition and size, and the make will also have an effect.

If your unsure how to post photos How to post photos

Regards Nick.

What a lovely looking piece of kit. From a time when functionality was key, not the price.

Find either the Maidstone Model Engineering Society or the local Men's Shed.

The vise is worth fifty quid of anyone’s money, likely a fair bit more, and the drill looks like a precision piece of kit but not so popular - it might make good money, but only if more than one person really wanted it, at auction.
