Hello,

A friend has asked me to list a Bernerd Multisize Collet Chuck & Collet Set for sale on his behalf (he's not PC literate).

I have both items but am unable how to describe/identify the type of chuck mounting - it's obviously not Camlock. I've uploaded some photos to my Album here:

https://www.model-engineer.co.uk/albums/member_album.asp?a=59326

Can anyone help please?

Many thanks

Brian

That is an L- taper.

To confirm which one of the series it is, consult the chart here:

http://www.lathes.co.uk/latheparts/page9.html (American long taper)

The 'A' dimension will be easiest to identify. From your photo, it looks like L0, with a 4 1/2" thread.

When you paste an eBay link, the question mark and everything following it is unnecessary and can be deleted or omitted before submitting the post.

Hi all,

Many thanks for all the help - and very quick too; when I looked at the Chuck listed on Ebay in the DC31k's post above I noticed it was marked "LO"; I checked my friend's Chuck and that's marked LO as well, so that confirms it

Once again, many thanks for the help.

Kind Regards,

Brian
