3453 forum posts 23 photos	These are far too good just for woodworkers. Axminster Ultimate Edge I bought one of these a while ago when it was on special offer. It gets used for all kinds of stuff. I’ve made a few of my own jigs but only just realised I need to make one with some kind of adjustable feed. Maybe something like the top part of the Harold Hall grinding rest. I used to use a bigger belt sander for this kind of stuff but the nice thing about the UE is that there are a wide variety of different belt types available for it. Options include, Allox, Ceramic, Zirconium and even Diamond. You can also get a leather honing belt. It’s an expensive machine now for sure but thought folks may like to know. The more industrious could make their own perhaps using the same belt size? Just a thought.

When I bought mine it was actually cheaper than the similar Sorby Pro Edge, although the latter included a jig or two. Sorby Pro Edge The Axminster has variable speed and forward and reverse that the Sorby lacks though.
