![]() 2668 forum posts 352 photos | Just half way through watching a Youtube video from Stapleton 42. He visites mainly race engine builders. This one is about boat racing. Using the Rolls Royce Merlin & Griffin engines . Plus the American copy versions. What is good about the video is the guys are explaining & showing the engine internals & how they get 3000 hp out of them. Quite an amazing video. I think they stopped using them around 2017. ![]() 6137 forum posts 893 photos | Packard figured out how to properly mass produce Merlins which was quite an achievement, I believe they cranked out more than any other factory US based mass production was streets ahead of the rest of the world at making stuff because of their car guys |
