I just want to pass on information about a good deal I just got.

As discussed in previous post on this subject I found myself in the situation of my outbuildings contents insurance not being high enough to cover the value of what was inside.

The house insurance was due but I was having trouble finding a company that would give more than £5000 contents cover, my current insurer was only offering £3000. I got my current insurer to give me a good deal on the house insurance and went hunting sperate workshop insurance through various brokers. I nearly settled on a policy giving me 10k contents insurance split into tools, materials and machinery.

Then I gave LV insurance a ring and they gave me a good deal. There policy covered the contents within the property boundaries so house, sheds, workshop contents all covered by one amount.

They were also very easy to deal with, didn't even care about trees growing near by. I found their attitude refreshing and now I'm fully covered at a very reasonable price much cheaper than having separate policies, in fact it was cheaper than my previous insurance.

Usual disclaimers, I'm not associated in anyway with LV or any other insurance firm.

Sounds good, though I'd say the true test of an insurer is how they handle things in the event of a claim.

True, but I hope never to have to find out that way.
