Posted by one of the members of MEM forum I thought people here may enjoy the video. Nice that they have so many of the models running rather than just static as we seem to here.

Certainly makes the show a lot more interesting to see the exhibits running. Appeared to be quite a few youngsters there which can’t be bad.

Excellent. Thanks for posting and thanks to the cameraperson.

appeared to be quite a few youngsters there which can’t be bad.

Yes, the (mostly?) German visitors seemed to be at least a generation younger than those on other similar videos I've seen from the UK and USA.

There were some fascinating models there. I wonder where the Germans get their supplies/drawings/kits etc from?

Ches

Edit: 'generation younger' - I've just watched some other YT videos on the show and see that there was a very wide cross section of modelling types eg RC construction vehicles, model railways, steam punk dragons etc...so there is maybe more to pull in the younger visitors?

There are a number of German ME suppliers, I've used these ones a bit for things like metric fixings, small MOD gears and the odd casting.

GHW

Knupfer

RCMachines

TS-Models The black engine with one end of the crank supported by the wall is one of their kits

VTH who publish MiM the equivalent to ME have a plans service

Leipzig is also a very nice town/city to visit. Big airport there and an impressive train terminus, Cathedral etc.
