110 forum posts 76 photos | Hi Guys More problems with my Kity Woodwork Machine, the slot mortise part of it has given up the ghost. I’ve included some photos of what’s broken, you will see the table is made from aluminium, likewise are the 8 housings which the 4 steel bars (20mm Diameter) slide in. The problem is, 4 of the housings has cracked, again see the photos. What would be the best way to do a repair, get the cracks welded (I think they are die-cast) or find someone on here or elsewhere to make 4 new ones out of steel. They don’t need to be exactly the same shape as the original housings for simplicity sake I was thinking maybe they could be made out of steel, size-wise 47mm x 30mm x 33mm. I would simply try and buy some new ones, but given the age of the machine and the fact Kity no longer exist I think there will be little hope of me being able to do that.
Anyone have any ideas on which would be the best fix?

754 forum posts 2 photos | Hi All, Apologies for hijacking the thread, but on the subject of KITY machines, does anyone know if there any suppliers of KITY spares out there? A 1637 Planer Thicknesser in particular. |

110 forum posts 76 photos | Hi Bo'sun I don't know of anyone who sells spares for the Kity as they went out of business some years back, hence me coming on the forum to find out if someone can make what I need. If you do manage to find somewhere please share it on here.
