Q-cut instructions

I have an ancient (20 years ?) Greenwood Q-cut parting tool which has just lost it's insert (it pinged-off when tryting to part some very strange aluminium alloy). I have a couple of unused inserts, but I'm not sure how they fit.

Can anyone let me have a copy of the original instructions for this tool, as mine have disappeared ?

Alternatively, can someone please post a close-up photo of the tool, so I can see how the insert is supposed to fit ?

ETA: I've just discovered there's more than one model of this tool. I think mine is a Mk 2, as it does not have a clamping screw for the insert.

ESy! Just push it in with fingers then push all holder onto a piece of wood pressing the insert in hard. No mystery..

Mine came with a little tool with two steel pegs on it. It's black with a yellow plastic handle. You put one of the pegs in the hole in the carrier and ping out the insert, and then apply the "free" peg to the new insert and force it in.

Although they have ceased to trade they *were* offering inserts which might fit at close-down sale prices.

I have that tool as well, wasn't sure how to use it - thanks.

I have a couple of Q cut parting off tools as well. Has anyone identified a source of replacement tips now the Greenwood tools are no longer trading?

Since it's a Sandvik item I'm sure it must be available elsewhere; you just need the all-important part number! You might start by looking at this page of the Sandvik cat:

I'd be surprised if a phone call to JB Cutting Tools didn't provide an immediate answer.
