Hi All,

I have just bought this small KATSU angle grinder from Amazon as it is easier on my wrists and a lot quieter than the 115mm one that I have at the moment.

I want to use it for cleaning up material before welding etc. I have also got a lot of small ROLOC 75mm flap discs and the normal drill adapter with 1/4" shaft.

The grinder will take small Dremel type cutters etc as shown.

I would like some advice on a SAFE way to make some sort of adapter to take the 1/4" ROLOC shaft so that I can use the discs. Using them in a drill soon gets uncomfortable and I have a fair bit of material to prepare for welding of the linisher base.

All thoughts welcome!

Cheers, Martin

The first review on this Amazon page mentions an adapter: **LINK**

3M make the backing pads with several internal threads, unfortunately not M10 x 1 which would just screw straight on but you could make an adaptor with M10 x 1 female to go onto the grinder and M10 x 1.5 to fit one of the backing pads with that thread.

Michael, I had noticed the adapter in the review, have just ordered one and will see how it goes.

Looks to be 3D printed and if no good I will make one in steel as per Jason’s reply.

thanks everyone!

Martin
