Calor gas bottles

55 forum posts 4 photos	It’s currently not possible to get new Calor gas bottles, only refills, due to a shortage of bottles. A colleague has now reported that Calor may be discontinuing the smaller bottles completely. Has anybody else heard this? Flogas confirmed this morning that they will be be continuing to supply the 3.9kg and 6kg bottles, so that is who I will use for my new blowtorch.

122 forum posts 2 photos	Just bought a full 6 kg bottle for £40 off Gum tree. The local stockist would not change my other 3.9 Kg for a 6Kg bottle. They were happy to sell me a 3.9Kg refill.

3988 forum posts 1799 photos	Hi, about a month or so ago, I went to a local supplier to get a refill in exchange for my 3.9 Kg one and was told there was a real big shortage for them, had to go back next day and exchange a 19 Kg one instead. They can only exchange like for like, if you want a different size, it's a new purchase, and has always been that way since I've had any many years ago. Regards Nick. 3676 forum posts 82 photos	Calor exchange this link explains the Calor exchange policy but I have encountered suppliers who are not up to speed with this. One place that refused was I think down to the person not being aware as I am sure they had exchanged for me on an earlier occasion with no hassle. Mike Edited By Mike Poole on 23/10/2021 12:13:14
