![]() 1071 forum posts | On a DeWalt grinder I purchased the holes in the nut were hexagonal. If I lost the spanner I could use an Allen wrench. |

4655 forum posts 304 photos | That looks like a Bosch SDS special nut that doesn't need a spanner. Common nuts on angle grinders have two holes for a peg spanner. |

2805 forum posts 219 photos | My Bosch angle grinders have been retro-fitted with FIXTEC brand tool-free nuts which may be similar to the OP's; they do, however, have a flip-up half-moon feature which I don't see in the photo. Long term users of the Tormek wet grinder will know that their original nuts had to be hammered tight but later models feature an ingenious two-start left hand threaded nut which is easily removed by hand. |
