34 forum posts | The only fittings I ve ever seen for hòlding belly tanks in place were steel bands around the boiler held on with bolts going into thresded holes through the boiler, I m not doing that! All I can think of is steel bands with a little weld to join them but the tanks might still move around the boiler. Its a 12 inch diameter steel boiler. Thanks

33 forum posts 6 photos | I am building a 2" Fowler engine, the belly tank is secured to the horn plates by two brackets. All the band around the boiler does is suport the weight of the front of the belly tank. Not going to move any where. |
