Wasn't sure where to post this but the adverts links to the ARC and Chronos sites are generating an error when using Firefox browser.

The issue appears to be with a secure connection with the ad server servedbyadbutler.com.

Firefox detected a potential security threat and did not continue to servedbyadbutler.com. If you visit this site, attackers could try to steal information like your passwords, emails, or credit card details.

What can you do about it?

The issue is most likely with the web site, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it.

If you are on a corporate network or using anti-virus software, you can reach out to the support teams for assistance. You can also notify the web site’s administrator about the problem.

Paul,

Both links work with no problems for me using Firefox 89.0.2 64-bit on Windows 10. Maybe something in your set up.

Hmm if i use a VPN then i don't get the error which would suggest my ISP is interfering with the secure connection.

Thanks for the info John.

Arc's website doesn't seem to give the option of rejecting cookies, so I won't be going there any time soon. Pity really as I've bought stuff from them before

If you are making a purchase from a site it has to use cookies to 'maintain state' ie to pass you from one page to another through the purchasing process.

Cookies are not necessarily bad. Third party cookies are not desirable and can be blocked in your browser settings.

For a considerable time now, I've been quite relaxed about accepting cookies. i've yet to see an adverse effect.

After all, you can always clear them or perhaps go incognito.
