![]() 7881 forum posts 397 photos | Traditionally we always used methylated spirits to thin marking dye at work. No idea about the specific Markem brand but it would be worth a try with a small sample. |

Methylated spirit is ethanol denatured by methanol. Added smell, and bitterment reagents, to discourage people poisoning themselves (by the methanol). |
