New to the forum, not new to various engineering, I used to buy ME and MEW magazine some time ago. I am woefully out of practice with lathes and mills though, and need to redress that. My own machines have been idle in the shed a while.

Self taught, I mostly do repairs and make bits/accessories for cars, boats, bikes plus a few useful things for work. I do all my own welding/cutting and have built/rebuilt a few cars, mostly Landies and used to race a kitcar.

The latter lead me into 3D Printing a few years ago, and I just got my first CNC, a little Chinese 3018 to get my head around how to use that tech. I am very comfortable with 3D printing both FDM and resin, and am "capable" in the CADCAM but lots to learn.

Welcome!

It is like riding a bike, you never quite forget totally.

You just need to get your eye in again.

You look set to do a lot of useful work!

Welcome to the forum John,

Applications of 3D printing alongside traditional materials is starting to become an interesting part of our hobby.
