I bought this holder for my upright threading inserts that i use and this tip was in it theres no markings on the tip what could it be used for ?

2 rounded crests and a sharp v in the middle

Perhaps a 90 deg thread form, similar to a tap I made for a wood threading tool that was 3mm pitch.
