1346 forum posts 15 photos | I have a LUX milling machine to which I would like to fit a power drive in order to raise and lower the head, [I get weary turning the handle ] There was a post on this forum some time ago where some guy used a cordless drill for this, but it must have been some drill because my mill just laughed at me when I tried that. Is there a way of fitting a motor, perhaps using a reduction drive unit ? Have any of you ever done this ? and if so, how ? Any ideas welcome. I believe some of the later mills have this feature. Thanks for any assistance. |

Very crude but works very well a parvalux 24vdc motor with a big reduction gearbox runs at about 1 rpm |

1346 forum posts 15 photos | Thanks Ian, that was quick indeed ! Excuse my ignorance, but what is a parvalux motor and where do I look for one ? What about the gearbox, is that a separate unit ? |
