Hi I've just taken a step back into engineering, I bought a Harrison L5 lathe and I'm sure I will need some help from the hive mind of a forum. I haven't got my hands on lathes or mills since the early 80s so I'll be taking things easy for a while and hopefully find my feet again.

Hello Sam and welcome.

It may help to indicate approximately where you are located in case you need someone to help you.

Do you have any projects in mind?

Brian

Hi Brian my first prodject will be stripping the apron and tailstock down and giving them a good clean as the lathe has been sitting for years unprotected it doesn't seem to be pitted rust just surface rust and heavy dust.
