Can anyone show me where the serial number is I've read it should be on the ways but I've been cleaning my lathe down and haven't found one yet. Bit of history my lathe looks like it's been exported to Spain as the brass plate and top plate are in spanish. |

It depends on what shape the other oil nipples are and what shape your oil gun is. If you get grease nipples which have a spring loaded end you can remove the spring and ball if that helps. You can try these no connection or maybe you have a local supplier. Harrison Lubrication Engineering Ltd Lynstock Way. Lostock. Bolton. Lancashire. Hi Sam have you measured one of the old ones or the hole that they fit into. More information may help. David Big problem I have is most are missing and I cant be sure the ones left are original. The three I have left are 6.3mm or 250 thou so probably 1/4" so if I got 1/4 grease nipple would those do the sam job? Sam. |

Hello Sam and welcome. It may help to indicate approximately where you are located in case you need someone to help you. Do you have any projects in mind? Brian Hi Brian my first prodject will be stripping the apron and tailstock down and giving them a good clean as the lathe has been sitting for years unprotected it doesn't seem to be pitted rust just surface rust and heavy dust. |

Hi I've just taken a step back into engineering, I bought a Harrison L5 lathe and I'm sure I will need some help from the hive mind of a forum. I haven't got my hands on lathes or mills since the early 80s so I'll be taking things easy for a while and hopefully find my feet again. |
