ME Vertical Boiler - Cap Exhausat (BF12)

| 102 forum posts 3 photos | I have nearly complerted the ME Vertical Boiler, but am confused. BF12 - The Cap Exhaust fitting is fitted to the Smokebox cap with the small pipe bent up into the chimney. Done, and understood, BUT the other end - on the top of the Smokebox Cap seems to have just an open end. ...My question is that all there is to it or does the top portion then connect elswhere. I can find no information other than the fitting and bending the tube into the Chimney. There is a hedding in issue 4608 "Installing the Cap Exhaust fitting."  25215 forum posts 3105 photos 1 articles | You run the exhaust from the engine back to fitting on th etop of the boiler and then it will go up the chimney to help with the draft. |
