as a beginner so to say, been in engineering for years but not really wanting to build but might be happy restoring or finishing something off,my problem is what to get thought about model steam boat but I would have to travel to use it so maybe later after I got something else first. Thought about stationary with a boiler etc but keep coming back to traction of which scale though I'm guessing 1 1/2 inch upwards . Definitely not trains although they are very popular with a lot of model engineers ,so here I am seeking advise I'm living in ilminster Somerset so may be influenced by what's about near me. Thanks for any thoughts forth coming

I can recommend the Clayton Undertype Waggon in 2" scale. Cast wheels so only small amount of rivetting.

Small copper boiler that is not too expensive or difficult to make.

Will easily pull 2 persons on a suitable trailer.

Not too heavy.

Let us know what you decide to make.
