![]() 19226 forum posts 749 photos 86 articles | Today I have learned the sad news that Brian Perkins passed away peacefully earlier this week. Many people will remember his detailed articles on the building of his Bristol radial engines in Model Engineer. I recall that he made these outstanding models with reference to the real engines, and they won Gold medals and the Duke of Edinburgh Trophy at the Model Engineer Exhibition. Those not familiar with his engines can see just how incredibly detailed they were here: www.enginehistory.org/ModelEngines/Perkins/Aquila/bristol_aquila.shtml I understand that the funeral will on Friday 5 April. No flowers, but donations to the Friends of Southmead Hospital. Neil Edited By Neil Wyatt on 08/03/2019 16:36:13 |
