2 forum posts | Hi All Been snooping about on here for a while and thought it was time I signed up. I haven't really had time to get in to model engineering yet but intend to when I get some free time. I have a Boxford A and make bits bobs for classics cars and tools as and when i need them as you do. I'm looking for a used milling machine at the moment preferably under £1k but not sure if old slightly bigger machines are a good buy now days or if newer imported mills are the way to go. I haven't got the room for anything as big as a Bridgeport but want something that's rigid enough to do bigger bits when i need to. |

2 forum posts | I'd love a Bridgeport and nearly bought at the weekend but they are a bit big to fit in my single garage which also needs to house my Scimitar and Lathe and other important bits collected over the years. At the moment I can't see contact details in the classified but I will have a look once I'm allowed. Is it best to get a more modern R8 machine or are MT3 spindle machines still worth a look? Thanks for the replies. |
