My bed was sticking so I took my col 1800 (square one) to bits.

I have misslaid (lost!!!) a jib for taper turning attachment, but want it off anyway so no big deal..

My problem is I could do with photo of the screw bracket for the rear of slide with taking the TT off I have not got the bracket now so need to make one.

If any one has square 1800 student could you take photo of this bracket please and email [email protected] Thanks

Dave

Thanks . need photo of the bracket that the lead screw would fit into at the back of the main slide .

It will have (I think) two holes to bolt it onto the slide and one larger hole that the lead screw would go through with thrust baearing and nut on that end...as said (I THINK!)

Thanks

Hello Alan.

I am not good at discribing things!

The tool post fit on cross slide that in turn fits to the main slide to turn the diameter of the part ..the handle to turn part is at the front of this slide.

The handle lead screw that goes though and has brass nut that give movment to the main cutting slide.

I need photo of the back end where the nut is fastened to the saddle

We may get there!! but at least it's warmer here than down my workshop!

Thanks for your efforts.

Dave

Holy crap David.......charades at xmas must be fun with you laugh

Is this the offending article ?

Apologies for the quality, bit awkward to photograph with an ipad and lathe up against a wall.

YOU have it Thanks from top it would look like "top hat " my screw would not go to top of the "hat" so mine would need to be flat. But that is the problem sorted I will get on and get one made this weekend if wifey has no more jobs for me!!!

Thanks very much for that

Dave
