this is another tool that came with my lathe that looks like it was made to bolt to the cross slide.. would this be a radius cutter?

A bit flimsy for a cutter...maybe a lever to help with metal spinning?

At a wild guess; is the handle on it at about the same height as the feed screw on the top slide?

If so, how about removing the feed screw, coupling the top slide to this lever and use the whole arrangement as a slotter.?

As per the first photo on this thread.

the handle is a about the same hight as the one in the picture..
thats interesting and I'm sure i could make it work like that
