Unable to access Online Archive.

I have a print+digital subscription and am having trouble accessing the online archive.

I just get the following message: -

Your Print subscription to Model Engineer Magazine no longer allows you access to the Digital archive.

The Print + Digital Subscription costs only a few pence more per issue and entitles you to your print copies, access to this Online Archive as well as digital downloads of all of your subscriptions issues to enjoy wherever you go and to keep even after your subscription ends.

My subscription was direct via the model engineer website.

Can anyone give me a valid reason for this issue.

Hello Alexander,

Sorry to hear of your problem.

I've removed your numbers from your post so you can't get 'cloned' by someone else.

Your subs number shows as a digital subscription with archive access valid until 20 December 2019, but emulating your account also gave me the message you quote.

It may be that the system is assuming your sub isn't valid until 20 December, but I doubt this is the problem.

I have asked someone to look into this for you, but as it's now Friday evening I'm afraid they won't be back in work until Monday.

For any future issues it's usually best to contact details here first, although I suspect this error will need an expert to sort it out:

Thanks for looking into this for me and will await some resolution at some point next week.

I found it rather odd as I was able to access the archive about 3 months ago when i was trying to locate an article or two.

Did you just renew your existing subscription or have you taken out a new one?

Hi Jason,

No, my current subscription should run out on 21st December 2018 when it will require renewal.

The odd thing is that Neil suggests it is valid until December 2019, which suggests that it may have been renewed automatically, although I don't recall making that arrangement when I signed up.

All very odd and I would like to get some clarification on the situation and get my access to the archive restored.
