totally lost
This design by Bill Morris is an excellent test of your skill in working to tight tolerances.

1 forum posts | Hi it appears I should have introduced myself when first joining only found that out today used to have a digital subscription but never found things and guess what nothings changed according to printed magazine there is bonus content in the form of Bill Morris' Differential Screw Micrometer Head, free plans but can I find them.... If anybody has any information on the provenance of the Clarke CL430 metal lathe or it's companion mill/drill it would be useful to know as they never seem to appear in any article and I can't be the only person to have purchased same, or can I. The history of my acquisitions (new from Machine Mart locally) is a bit obscure. I needed a very slow drill to drill some very large holes and the only ones at the time slow enough were 3 phase and very expensive, then I saw the Clarke mill/drill, at the time only a few hundred £s, a lot later I had use for a more modern lathe, we had been making do with a Drummond, so I bought the companion one from Machine Mart. Whilst it seems a good rugged piece of kit with 6" throw over bed I have never seen it much reviewed or even in use by magazine writers, this of course sets off the old paranoia of am I the only fool etc etc |
