![]() 2312 forum posts 112 photos | I've had this for years, having rescued it from the firm I used to work for. It came with a second hand lathe and wasn't part of the tooling that the firm wanted. There are 3 cutters inside and it appears to be for machining the ends of bars using the adaptors (1 missing) If anyone has more information then I would be most grateful. Brian |

![]() 1533 forum posts 147 photos | Can't really tell. can you take a pic looking into the business end? is it perhaps a capstan fitting for reducing the end of a bar before the next tool threads it, bit like a small chip stream roller box?

![]() 2312 forum posts 112 photos | Thanks Phil, there is a makers name on the wooden box, it has a name plate stating "Machine Shop Equipment Ltd. London SW1". I'did try to find out some information about them but without success. Brian |
