I have a Warco VM-16 which is a year old. The other day I tried to switch it on and nothing happened.

Checked the obvious, plug fuses- all fine. Delved a little deeper and had a look inside the control box. Once I got over the initial shock (no pun intended) of just how much wiring there is, I was able to determine that there was power to the front panel as far as the push to start button, the relay which I would normally here latch is silent. The circuit diagram is not much help and to be honest although I can work out simple circuits the wiring and control systems on the Warco are beyond my understanding.

I have tried and failed to make contact with Warren Machine tools by various means without success, this is disappointing as I believe when the fault occurred when the machine was still under warranty.

Has anybody had a similar experience or can any of the more electronic savvy enlighten me as to what the problem may be?

Hi have you checked the safety switch on the chuck guard?

Brilliant, that was the problem. The switch was not quite closed, gave it a nudge and all fine.

Thanks, you have saved a lot of head scratching and possible bad language.
