10 forum posts 1 photos | I am helping clear a deceased friends workshop and came across this Lorch & Schmidt lathe which I have lightly cleaned up. Although there are a few pieces missing it's the tailstock that intrigues me. I cannot find a makers name anywhere on it and it is very well made, for instance the indexing slots have hardened steel inserts to prevent wear. The body is well made and I think a commercial item. Can anyone help identify the tailstock? It isn't anywhere on Lathes website and a week of searching t'internet has turned up nothing, |

10 forum posts 1 photos | The lathe and cross slide are marked Lorch Schmidt Germany so those parts are the genuine article, just the tailstock that intrigues me. It's too well made to be something even a skilled amateur has manufactured. Thanks for the reply |
