124 forum posts 60 photos | Hi Just I am on the last legs of a full restoration on my Myford super 7 Mk1 (see my photos in my profile)
One of the last things I will be doing is fitting the leadscrew, (I have a myford super 7 Mk1 with screw cutting gear box )
I have use of an other lathe (colchester bantam 1600) and was thinking of buying a acme all thread and machining the ends my self.
being a Mk1, the leadscrew does not go all the way through the gearbox.
so my question is, what is the thred, pitch etc ill need and where should/could I buy it from
Kind regards

I assume that you have not converted the machine to metric - if you have then you could improve on Myfrod's "metric" conversion by having a 3mm pitch leadscrew rather than 3.175.. mm! |
