Hi

Has anyone seen one of these tools before, i am sure someone on here has, if so can you pass on you knowledge as i am curious to know how it's used and what it's for. I should have put a tape measure on for reference, but it is circa 6" in length.

It is a flaring tool for putting flares on various sizes of tubing

Hi Roger, thanks for the information, now I have a name for it i can search for more information. Much appreciated.

(Just had a quick search and now discovered this is only one component of the tool, thanks again.)

Frequently used for mending brake pipes. So 'brake pipe flaring' will find the answer.

Or refrigerant pipe flaring tool, yes missing the part that does the work.
