2276 forum posts 801 photos | The latest issue of Model Engineer, No 4548 has an advertisement for a fuel stove by Machine Mart. A DIY version can be made from old cast iron brake drums from a semi-trailor or large truck. A small stove can be made from 2 drums or a larger one by welding 3 together. The top cover plate is hinged on one side and has a cut-out around the flue. (Good for boiling a kettle). A sliding, damper plate controls the airflow and fire temperature. This one is used in our clubhouse and is mobile for when we are sitting outside. Paul. |
