![]() 6 forum posts | Hello, new member here in Canada.I am starting Pete Rich's five inch GWR Dean Single, reduced to 2 1/2 inch gauge, following his articles in ME.I have most of them(I think?) but I am missing those from issues 4390,4409,4432,4438,4440,4442,being instalments 2,12,16,17,18,19.I have not been able to find out if there were more later.I believe this was the time of Mister Rich's passing. The first instalment was in October 2010.If someone has the missing articles and could scan and forward them to me I would be eternally grateful.Thank you in advance for any assistance I might receive. Mike. |

![]() 1285 forum posts 353 photos | Hi Mike, One of the most beautiful locos ever to run in fullsize. Plus GWR! I think you will be really up against it scaling down to 2.5"g. You are up against tight clearances on the front bogie, and the clearance with the boiler on the driving wheels. Some compromises may be required. The original had large cut outs in the inside frames to accomodate the cylinder bores/castings. Peter was a marvellous guy but didnt finish the Dean Single ME design, like many others he started for ME and EIM. Cheers, Julian Edited By julian atkins on 08/10/2016 23:21:47 |
