An alternative source is Machine-DRO: www.machine-dro.co.uk/rotary-angle-encoder-and-remote-display-with-a-6mm-diameter-shaft.html To all intents and purposes they appear to be like a digital angle gauge with the gubbins in a remote box and fixed to a shaft.
