149 forum posts 8 photos | Would anyone have a copy of the articles from Vol 84 -89 on the building of this locomotive. I have ordered the drawings from the My Hobby Store but would like to read the build notes as well. I have drawn the engine for this loco in Solidworks and would like to do the same for the loco. I have looked on ebay but cannot see anyone that has these volumes for sale. I am happy to buy the complete volumes if the price is right. |

![]() 6137 forum posts 893 photos | The war issues are relatively rare because a newsagent was only allowed to order copies for subscribers, and not allowed any extra for general sale to the public, to save on paper/war resources The war issues are about 60% of the size of the 1938 print, and every page is crammed full from margin to margin The ME offices took a direct hit in the blitz at one point and a load of irreplaceable drawings/info were lost Each volume has the sound of air raid sirens and the BBC home service in its pages Edited By Ady1 on 06/11/2015 09:50:08 |

1504 forum posts 142 photos | Dave, I tried your link and found the domain had been suspended. Same happens if addressing direct. Mike, Another place to try for old magazines is Tee Publishing, who have supplied complete volumes. However, as Ady1 says the wartime issues are difficult to source. ![]() 517 forum posts 57 photos | Mike, I've got nearly a complete set of MEs so if you can't get the issues you need I can sort you out with some copies of the articles. I think in a later issue there may have been an improved drive system described? John |
