At the Midlands show I came across these people right by the entrance.

They have a website and are promoting the idea of DIY hand propelled railway vehicles. velo 3 wheel pdc_1176.jpgThey displayed an original wooden 3 wheeled one and a home made 4 wheeled one for narrow (2ft?). They are looking at finding parts and suppliers to enable more people to build this style.

Seems like fun and they have been arranging opportunities for people to run their own creations on real track for several years. See more on the website.

Yes, they were there every day.

I fancy making one for our 5" raised track - I reckon I'll have to design my own.

I think one of those things featured in an original 'St Trinians' film, cannot remember which one though.

I saw this at the 2 1/2 inch rally at Reading in 2013 in the steaming bay so perhaps the little chap got a bit warm going round the track. small velo pdc_0511.jpg
