25215 forum posts 3105 photos 1 articles	Does anyone with the book know if the metric version is just a direct conversion of fractional inches to mm thus allowing for the supplied barstock and BA fixings to be used. Or have they gone the whole hog and done it to suit metric stock sizes, metric threads etc?

You won't. but the best bet is to buy the book and use the metric plans in that together with a standard casting kit. My post above crossed, the answer may be useful if someone can confirm how metric the book drawings are.

There are some interesting comments in the Amazon reviews: LINK https://www.amazon.co.uk/Building-Vertical-Steam-Engine-Castings/dp/1857610962 Apparently there is an edition which has dual dimensions, but the later one is all metric ... I know that doesn’t confirm what you asked, but it might be useful to know. MichaelG.
