6" Ruston Proctor Traction Engine Model Build

2276 forum posts 801 photos	Turning end of hollow bar for rope drum keeper plate. Boring holes in outer drive gear for wheel lock pins. Turning bronze bush for inner drive gear, Turning wire rope drum casting. Drilling holes for rope drum locking pin. Fitting ring gear The gears were purchased as finished parts and were meant to operate without bearings. I decided to add a bronze bush. But how to hold it ? I bolted it to a piece of round bar and centred it in a 4-jaw chuck. Pressed in a bush and faced it to length. Finished compensating centre assembly.
