Thanks for the help. I'll give the Tap and Die Company a try when I'm out sightseeing. Hopefully be able to get what I need. I'll call them in the morning before I head out.

Hi James,

As Jeff suggests the Tap & Die Co is within walking distance of Turnpike Lane Tube Station (Piccadilly Line) — see map:

I assume you're at West India Dock, Canary Wharf (HMCS Iroquois mooring?) so Tube routes will be:

1. From Canary Wharf Underground station take Jubilee Line train North/West bound to London Bridge.

2. At London Bridge change to Northern Line and take northbound train to Kings Cross.

3. At Kings Cross change to Piccadilly Line and take northbound train to Turnpike Lane.

Alternatively (fewer changes):

1. From Canary Wharf Underground station take Jubilee Line train North/West bound to Green Park.

2. At Green Park change to Piccadilly Line and take North/East bound train direct to Turnpike Lane.

As you exit from Turnpike Lane station head South along Green Lanes (area's mostly built up but green area containing playground will lie to your right). You'll shortly come to a 'Y' junction where road branches off Green Lanes at 45 degrees to your left — that's West Green Road. A few hundred yards along the road (right hand side) you'll find the Tap & Die Co shop. It's quite a modest looking shop frontage — I think the whole building represents their 'warehouse'. Their site says 'visitors by appointment only' but if you ring them beforehand they'll probably be happy to see you in the circs.

Joe

Added a picture of my progress on Emma Victoria to my album. Image was taken with my iPad and shows up correct on it but for some reason it is upside down once uploaded. I'll fix that once I figure out how.

Neil, what did you mean with your reference to a "Mornington Crescent"?

James, the pic looks good. You must have been in the antigravity bay of the ship for that one!

Jeff, he means he listens to BBC Radio 4. It is a game on a popular radio show.

I wonder if James ever got his taps on West Green Rd?

Hopefully he's tapping away on E V parts in the shipboard machine shop.

I was able to locate what I needed to keep going. In Liverpool now and still working towards a rolling chassis before I return home to Canada.

Pretty sure it will be the White Star Service for the return voyage.

I am afraid to say that this issue has fallen foul of the partial repeat trap.

Readers will have noticed that part of the last issue (4455) was repeated in 4457, together with some more new drawings.
Apologies to all for this error but please be assured that you will not miss any part of the series on account of this.

I'm still making progress though a long way behind the articles. I messed up a wheel blank and will have to take my material back into work to use the bandsaw to cut a new one. Other than that I am progressing. Hope to start the cylinders this week.
