25 forum posts | I've been exchanging email with John Stevenson, and he says that he still sees issues 146 - 163, but they've gone missing on my Digital Archives. Have the recent back issues (not the paid Digital Archives, to which I'm subscribed and can read) been moved to a different link? Edited By Robert George on 01/06/2010 14:41:16 |

829 forum posts 1 photos | AFAIK there are two separate sections: - The recent issues which you have access to automatically if you subscribe to the paper copy of the magazine. This is approximately the last 20 issues and is a "sliding window" - i.e. when a new issue gets posted, the oldest is transferred to the archive section. Currently I see this as running from 146 - 164 - The archive section which consists of all the issues from Issue-1 to the issue preceding the recent issues section. The archive section is by an additional subscription (although I believe you still have to be a paper copy subscriber). Currently I see this as running from 1 - 145 (with also Issue-163 tacked on the front but that seems to be an error). You can get to the links to both of these (assuming you have appropriate subscriptions and are logged in) by clicking on "Extra" in the title bar then scrolling down the left hand "Digital Archive" column and clicking on "Go to digital archive" |

25 forum posts | Thanks Sid, but the problem I'm having is that when I click on "Extra" and go to the Digital Archives, I get issues 1 - 145, but the recent issues are nowhere to be found. They used to have two links there; the recent issues, and the Digital Archives. I'm an active MEW subscriber, and I've obviously paid for the digital archives of the old issues, which I can get to... To add to the confusion, issue 163 shows up on the Digital Archives, so I'm actually seeing issues 1 - 145, and 163. Anyone else having this issue? Edited By Robert George on 01/06/2010 15:50:32 |

To be clear, this is the page I'm seeing both links on: I think the Issue-163 being in the archives is probably just an error. Someone has moved the wrong issue there. 25 forum posts | Thanks Sid -- yes, that is the link I'm using, and it now *only* shows the digital archives, and not the current issues. Up until recently, I had both links there: My MEW subscription finally got re-started in March, so it's not like my subscription has run out... Edited By Robert George on 01/06/2010 18:42:43 |

In any event, it seems to me that, from time to time, a few people here have reported that their subscriber numbers (<My Account> <My Details> ![]() What I'm thinking is that perhaps, if you had a discontinuity in your subscription, your old subscriber number may have been discontinued. I would first check that the subscriber box is, in fact, still filled in and then contact MHS about the problem. David Clark might help (he has before in these cases) or you could contact the subscriptions email address. |

19 forum posts | Thanks John for your comments, I am glad to see there are others with these problems,
Reading the forum post from GORAK, ' to which I mostly agree' it seems that this computer wizardry is not doing anyone any good.
Sid, reading your post re "Extra" to "Go to digital archive" I've tried that and still only get 146-164, issues. I made my Archive subscription 07/04/10 and got conformation. Do you know if the subs. number is the same as your paper subs. number ? I never received any thing different . Fred. |

![]() 13 forum posts | Fred, your paper subscription number and your digital archive subscription number are different. I initially had problems with my digital subscription when I entered (cut & paste) the number with all of the leading zeros that were contained in the number supplied. Once I dropped the leading 0's it started to work. Steve |

19 forum posts | I subscribed to the paper version back in January through Express Mags in Montreal. I didn't realize that tht included access to the digital back issues until this months edition arrived in which the editorial indicated that subscribers had access. My problem now is a subscriber number. I phoned Express Mags and got a seven digit number that doesn't work. I tried e-mailing [email protected] but that bounced. Earlier, not realizing it was included with the subscription, I had attempted to subscribe to the digital edition as a paid subscription and after entering all requested information was advised I would get a subscription number by e-mail. It didn't arrive and my credit card wasn't debited. Concerned that their website had been spoofed, I emailed regarding my experience (or lack thereof) but never received a reply so I didn't try again. I used to buy both Model Engineer and Model Engineer's Workshop at our local Chapters but boycotted both magazines after Magicalia demanded J.W. Early remove all the scanned back issues he had posted on his Yahoo group. I subscribed to MEW after learning that Magicalia was out of the picture. Unfortunately, it is beginning to look like My Hobby Store is no improvement. The message I would like to convey to My Hobby Store is that you have to smarten up your customer service. Bouncing and unanswered e-mails are not acceptable. Don't make impossible to sort out what should be simple problems. |

19 forum posts | HI Robert. I have sympathy with you mate, I had similar experience with my MEW magazine subs. But it seems to be ok now, thanks to some work by [email protected] try Heather it might surprise you. As far as the Digital Back Issues, goes, I paid my money and got a confirmation letter back by e-mail 23/04/10 which said that a subscription number (different to the MEW paper version) would be mailed to me, I am still waiting. But looking at the quality of the digital and the time it takes to get the page you want, I think I wasted my money.
Or is it all only a Miller Problem?
