I did some work for Martin-Baker at Denham a few years ago. Lovely to see their work, impressive factory.

Beautiful model, Carl, very well done.

Bill

Cheers Bill. Are you 'in the trade' as it were ?

I was in the RAF for long time as a Survival Equipment Fitter. Although our trade wasnt involved with the servicing of seats we naturarly had a close association with the seat bays with the chutes and life rafts etc.

Ive always been fascinated with these mechanical marvels. Incredible bits of kit.

Here is a simpler seat I made based on the Buccaneer seat, the MK6

I fancy re-doing this seat in a larger scale and really going to town on it !

Thank You

Carl

Stark difference of "bring your own cushion" on the Brit seat. Surprised there's no cup holder on t'other, but both unbelievable modelling skill. Truly superb.

Regards Ian.

Lovely work Carl, living next to Chalgrove airfield I have seen a few seats test launched from Martin Bakers Meteors over the airfield. I guess that once deployed they become scrap but probably a small price to pay for the survival of the crew.

I've worked with a few 'Squippers over the years, an under appreciated trade. They can turn their hand to anything.

Well done, that's an amazing piece of craftsmanship, pleasure to see it, please keep us posted on any of your future projects.

Quite an array of different skills demonstrated there.
