I did some work for Martin-Baker at Denham a few years ago. Lovely to see their work, impressive factory. Beautiful model, Carl, very well done. Bill
Cheers Bill. Are you 'in the trade' as it were ? I was in the RAF for long time as a Survival Equipment Fitter. Although our trade wasnt involved with the servicing of seats we naturarly had a close association with the seat bays with the chutes and life rafts etc. Ive always been fascinated with these mechanical marvels. Incredible bits of kit. Here is a simpler seat I made based on the Buccaneer seat, the MK6 I fancy re-doing this seat in a larger scale and really going to town on it !

![]() 3676 forum posts 82 photos | Lovely work Carl, living next to Chalgrove airfield I have seen a few seats test launched from Martin Bakers Meteors over the airfield. I guess that once deployed they become scrap but probably a small price to pay for the survival of the crew. Mike |
