Isn't the DTI holder mostly a scribing block?

Typical application shows a DTI in use with one.

Regards Nick.

The issue is, it didn't come with an adaptor, so none of my DTIs fit it currently.

Hi Lee.

I hope you don't mind me adding to the joy, but I've just had a 'New Toy Day' myself. smiley

Ordered from Italy on 11th Nov and delivered last Friday was my new Nebes TM125 bandsaw and I think she's a beauty!

Here's some pictures:

Martin.

Not at all. The more the merrier.

What a beaut. Let me know how you get on with it.

I've wanted a chop saw type bandsaw for an age.

Just can't justify it, as I already have 2 vertical and 1 horizontal bandsaw. laugh

Thanks very much. I'll post my thoughts here when I have done a few cuts. At the moment it looks like a well engineered piece of kit.

I should have congratulated you before on your purchase, so well done there, it's always nice to bag a bargain and share the pleasure with like-minded people.

Martin.

Hi Lee, I dare say you can make one, it doesn't have to be a fancy one like the manufacturers make.

Regards Nick.

You will not be disappointed! I have the similar but smaller Nebes TM101Plus for a couple of years now and it's a joy to work with. Silent and smooth running, can use oil/coolant, and cuts straight. Not cheap tho, but similarly priced to a Femi.

The list is already pretty long. laugh

But yes, if I can't find something suitable at a decent price, I will have to make one.

Hi Chris.

It was one of your posts about Nebes bandsaws that alerted me to their existance. thumbs up

I looked at the Femi range but they didn't seem to have quite what I was looking for, so when you mentioned what you'd bought, I took a look for myself. I can confirm that the motor is quiet running - it's similar to a sewing machine, but a bit louder and the soft-start is nice too.

As for price, mine came in at about £490 (inc free delivery from Italy!), plus about a £13 charge from the bank to convert to €'s. I think that is pretty good (not the bank charge though!) considering what you get.

Martin.

Glad to know I was of help to you Martin. Reading through Italian metalworking forums it seems like the Nebes and Femi are their preferred brands.

I also like your bargain Lee, likewise I do trawl ebay from time to time and when I do get a good deal it's like winning a lottery!

I've had a lot of that stuff on eBay alert for nearly a year and was starting to lose hope. laugh
