![]() 25215 forum posts 3105 photos 1 articles | I thought one of your requirements was for a weather proof tape, I assume the model also needs to be weather proof as hardboard is not known for being weather resistant even in the oil tempered form so you may need to think again. |

18 forum posts | I'm the technical director of a company that makes pressure sensitive adhesives, including those for automotive applications. The problem with any PSA is that it will be prone to creep. If there is a constant pull on the adhesive it will eventually fail. The time frame over which this will occur will depend on the strength of the pull as well as the adhesive. Aluminium foil could be held on with pretty much any permanent PSA as it will provide very little strain. Baking it in an oven will completely change the properties. PSA adhesives will never set.
