Some challenging parts in this one !

![]() 7468 forum posts 230 photos | Brian, good one, that looks a powerful little engine. On the last little boiler I made, I took the sides of the furnace and extended up and over the top of the boiler, leaving a gap of about 6 or 8 mm, I extended the bushes for the saftey valve and the steam out let to clear the casing, and this allows the heat to be directed at all the boiler surface. All it needs now is an engine that looks ok. Its the left one in the photo, I painted it with barbecue paint ?? heat proof. The steam engine is a 90* V twin wobbler. |

1487 forum posts 582 photos | That looks very neat but I am not sure my sheet metal working skills are up to it ! I might give it a go next time. I have given up trying a find a truly heat resistant paint in this country (in Cairns, anyway). It seems that there are some good products in the UK. |
