Just to update, I managed to contact Mr Law this morning with reference to Quorn Castings
 
The news
- Currently there are new sets of castings being made
- A new website will be launched with a new address very soon
- The day to day admin of the business will be taken over by Mr Law's son
 
Mr Law was on fine form when I spoke to him this morning !

To update everyone

Weston Tooling No longer stock Dickson tooling
 
- RGD @ £14
This price seems to be fixed regardless of quantity
 
- Chronos @ £15
This can be purchased for £10 in orders of 5
 
- Tilgear @ £21
Only have two in stock and are made in Indian
Further stock will be available in 2 months
 
Currently I am considering moving to the Multifix system, does anyone have experience of this system ? Should I start a new thread ?

Could I ask you opinion on the following matter
 
I need to buy some tools holders for genuine myford tool post and there is quite a selection to choose from, so far I have found
 
- J&L MSC TQC-17001L @ £35
- RGD @ £14
- Chronos @ £15
- Tilgear @ £21
 
I would be grateful for your opinion on the best choice regards build quality ?

Just a quick note to thank you all for all the information that has been posted on this thread.
 
 
After reading of the demise of Myford this morning I now feel informed enough to make the decisions that are best for my small business. My Super 7 is the centre of my business as a clockmaker and without I am lost!
 
Could I ask advice on the following matter
Myford Brand - Dickson tool holders I believe were manufactured by a small company in Devon or Cornwall Does anyone know if they are still making these and if they can be purchased ?
