Just seen it, Dave:
The Police Service of Northern Ireland has mistakenly released the names and work locations of its entire workforce. The data breach was not the result of a cyber attack but “simple human error”. […] perhaps the last three words that I quoted should be punctuated differently “simple human” error MichaelG. |

A "Covid denier" you say - can you back that up?
Martin. The Wikipedia page expresses it a little differently … but I don’t have the stamina to go searching Hansard tonight. MichaelG.
I don't think Wikipedia is very reliable with regard to reputational accuracy. It is Duncan's accusation, so I assume he has some 'proof'. Martin.
. Hence my reference [or non-reference if you prefer] to Hansard … the words written there should be definitive. The whip was withdrawn for a reason. MichaelG. |

Clever maths … but the resulting value for Q [ upper-right of p5] is woefully low. MichaelG. |

It could start to get a lot worse: Here’s a brief quote from ITV News ” The UK's elections watchdog has been hacked by "hostile actors" who gained access to electoral registers, meaning the personal information of millions of voters could have been stolen. “

I would be interested to know at what starting-angle of swing the pendulum is being checked. It has long been common practice, in accurate clocks, to use very small angles of swing to avoid the effects of circular error … but the practical measurement of the delta reduction must then become increasingly difficult. So how do one readjust a collet unless its mounted in an adjustable holder-? Edited By Chris Mate on 07/08/2023 19:47:05 You use an EasyZero collet nut. . That looks very slick, Bill Although it’s basically moving the adjustment to the other end of the collet. MichaelG. |

[…] So how do one readjust a collet unless its mounted in an adjustable holder-? . One cannot … that’s why there are very good collets available to those who can justify the cost. The rest of us just have to find work-arounds. MichaelG. |

They are building five small-ish houses to the rear of my property, which are coming close to completion … In case it’s of any interest, I managed to grab a photo of the product label on the Heat-Pump carton. They are using Mitsubishi Model: PUZ-WM50VHA-BS … for which we can probably find a Manual.

This looks worth having, to dip-into https://archive.org/details/1800-mechanical-movements-devices-and-appliances_202005 But it’s interesting to note the PDF file sizes: . . The small version has searchable text, but mediocre images The large version has better images but is not searchable … other formats are available. Embarrassing revelation
I have just moved the corner-cabinet on which my computer monitor sits [one of the first items that I installed], and have re-discovered that the two co-ax cables do enter the room through the wall, and presumably therefore are not routed via the cavity. … That should make things much simpler !
