Thread: Where to get Chipmaster motor mount anti vibration pads.
24/01/2013 20:06:00

Thanks, ordered some metric ones from them today.

18/01/2013 00:09:34

Hi John, It would be easier to have ones with imperial threads, being at direct replacement if at all possible,if not I'll use the metric ones, and work round it.

Cheers Big Trev

Doing my on going renovation of the chipaster,I'm now in need of 2 motor mount anti vibration pads.

I've emailed a company in the USA **LINK** who have as near as I can make out, are as near to the originals with 1/2" unc threads, waiting for a response(hopefully) unforunately some US companies won't ship to the UK for some reason.

Part No 5025H13U25 **LINK**

Does anyone know of any other suppliers at sensible money?

Thanks

Thread: Chipmaster variator removal
13/01/2013 22:50:08

Thanks for the replies.

Is the "Newton Tesla variable drive." a much better unit than of other makes? more £ than I was hoping to spend?.

What size pulley did you fit on the motor?

I'll be sticking with a 3 phase motor

11/01/2013 16:51:24

1967 Metric model.

Going to remove the variator, not sure what RPM motor to use to maintain the widest speed range,I'm not so bothered about the the high RPM.

The old motor was a 1740 RPM,I'm uncertain if the variator would have geared up the RPM to the headstock.

Cheers Big Trev

I think you should take it in good part. One can hardly announce an offer before its agreed.

I must say that I'm extremely dischuffed having ordered 2 tickets on line, only to find out when I purchased my magazine locally that you then have this free offer.
