Thread: Lathe chuck not true.

Hold a die grinder in the toolpost and with the jaws opened and locked in position with a fixture take a gentle pass off the inside of the jaws (whilst lathe is stationery)

this may only hold true for thgis diameter depends on the quality of your chuck/scroll gears etc

The ideal size is 16mm to 19mm they will fit your toolholder best with less shimming required

Well the feelers arrived 40 kg in all packed

SteveI has had half of the total lot

I still have far too much for my needs

So if anyone wants some I have 4 lots of 9 thou 17 thou 22 thou and 4 boxes of 23 thou i'll do these at £10 posted to the uk or all 4 lots for £22

this is 12" long by 1/2" wide 10 to a box

70 strips in all
