Thread: Cover Change |

Totally support the cover change - the shiny finish was unnecessary and absurd. If placed in a pile the ME slid all over the place and also tended to slide off one's lap.
The quality of the ME is far more than skin deep but I am sure that many people are attracted by shiny covers - good luck to them! |
Thread: Countersinking - guidance please...? |
14/06/2010 15:52:41 |
Hi
Your answer is to buy a set of countersinks from Greenwood Tools (advertised in ME and at shows). Expensive about £56 a set (usual disclaimer) but they are fantastic. Run them slowly with lubricant and your troubles are over! I tried other types for years before evenually forking out for Greenwood set! |
Thread: Malcolm Stride has passed on. |

I too am shocked. I have virtually finished a Nemett 15S as a first ic project - superbly described and illustrated. I spoke to Malcolm on several occasions at exhibitions and found him most approachable and helpful with technical queries. He will be greatly missed by the model engineering fraternity.
With the greatest sympathy to his family.
